  Windproof The fabric is waterproof and therefore wind-proof thanks to the coating or membrane applied to the inside. Indeed, the properties of a waterproof fabric certify it as wind-proof as well. Wind protection is very important, when exercising or at rest, as wind has a strong cooling effect on the body.

  Waterrpoof tests on finished product The garment is placed under a shower that reproduces drizzle, shower, storm or gale downpour conditions for several hours. This test controls whether NOVADRY®-labelled products are waterproof. The level of bad weather tested is defined by NOVADRY® according to the sport for which the garment is designed. If the garment withstands the level of rainfall that it will experience in real life use, it is approved as a NOVADRY® product.

  Specific tests The materials are made for children's clothing: colour fastness is checked to ensure no bleeding due to contact with saliva.

  Waterproof tests on fabric The resistance of a fabric is measured by the water pressure of a column of water in mm (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric is. A component with a waterproof measure of 2000mm can therefore withstand the water pressure of a 2000mm column of water (which is approximately equivalent to a one-hour downpour).

  Care instructions The clothes and gloves featuring NOVADRY® technology were designed for easy care. However, in order to optimise their performance and durability, we recommend:

  Washing 1/ Machine wash (30 to 40°): close the hook&loop parts, use gentle powder. Wash jackets and pants inside out. Remember to untighten the straps and elasticated parts. 2/ Avoid folding the garment too much in the washing machine: it might damage it. 3/ Wash different clothes types and colours separately. 5/ Do not use bleach. 6/ Setup long rinse cycle and gentle spinning.

  Drying Hang on a washing line or tumble dry (low heat, short time). Warning: Avoid placing NOVADRY®-labelled garments near to heat sources as this may damage the membrane or breathable coating.

  Reactivating water repellency There are several options: - Iron the weakened parts (temperature < 140ºC). - Tumble dry (low heat, short time). - Apply the NOVADRY® waterproof spray.
